Violence Beside, Jade Lascelles

Jade Lascelles is a writer, musician, and artist based in Colorado. She is the author of the full-length collection The Invevitable (Gesture Press, 2021). Her work has appeared in numerous journals, The Rumpus, and the anthologies Women of Resistance: Poems for a New Feminism, Dwell: Poems About Home,and Precipice: Writing at the Edge, as well as being featured in the Ed Bowes film Gold Hill, the Natalia Gaia short film A Spark Catches,and the visual art exhibits and accompanying books Shame Radiant (2021) and Disgust: Unhealthy Practices (2022). Jade holds an MFA from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, is a core member of the art group The Wilds, serves as steward of the Harry Smith Print Shop, and plays drums in a few different musical projects.

The Bird Hat Wearer’s Journal, Sarah Rose Nordgren

Sarah Rose Nordgren is the author of two poetry collections, Darwin’s Mother and Best Bones (winner of the Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize), and the hybrid-genre chapbook The Creation Museum, which is forthcoming from Harbor Editions in July 2022. Her poems, essays, and multimedia works appear widely in periodicals such as Ploughshares, The Kenyon Review Online, American Poetry Review, and TriQuarterly. Among her awards are two winter fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council, and fellowships and scholarships from the Sewanee and Bread Loaf Conferences, the Vermont Studio Center, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Nordgren holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, an M.F.A. from UNC Greensboro, and a PhD. From the University of Cincinnati where she also received a Graduate Certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Bad Forecast, Steffan Triplett

Steffan Triplett is a Black, queer writer from Joplin, Missouri. His essays and criticism have appeared in Longreads, Vulture, Slate, Vox, and the forthcoming anthology It Came From the Closet (Feminist Press 2022). He is a Cave Canem Fellow and a Lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh where he is the Assistant Director for the Center for African American Poetry and Poetics.
